The Story of Dr. Wolz

Siegfried Wolz laid the cornerstone for setting up the company back in the 1960's. Alongside Prof. Dr. Feodor Lynen, the biotechnology engineer worked as his scientific colleague on isolating co-enzyme A from yeast cells. Prof. Dr. Lynen received the Nobel Prize for Medicine for this research in 1964.

In 1969 Siegfried Wolz founded Dr. Wolz Zell GmbH, and from then on he researched and cultivated enzyme yeast cells in his own company - at times together with prominent physician and biologist Dr. med. Dr. rer. nat. P.G. Seeger. As a bold pioneer he was firmly convinced that through enzyme yeast cells he would be able to make a key contribution to overall care of cells in the human body and so provide a basis for keeping the entire organism healthy.
