Green Tea Extract Dr. Wolz contains valuable green tea ingredient concentrates. For example, it contains a high proportion of natural phytochemicals, such as catechins that belong to polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).
There are constant tests for the absence of residues and the high quality of the green tea being used. The natural vitamin C content obtained from acerola cherries helps in shielding cells from oxidative stress.
Green tea is extracted from the leaves of the tea plant Camellia sinensis. Unlike black tea, which is also made from this tea plant, the leaves are not oxidised or fermented. That is, they are heated as soon as they are harvested to inactivate their enzymes. The gentle heating of the fresh leaves preserves many active substances. The tea plant and its methods of preparation originate from China, where green tea, aside from its use as a beverage, has been known as a herbal remedy for several thousand years.
The ingredients of green tea
Green tea contains valuable phytochemicals. These include polyphenols, in particular flavonoids (catechins) such as epicatechin, epicatechin gallate, epigallocatechin and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).These constituents are also often called tannins and cause the tea to be bitter in taste. Green Tea Extract Dr. Wolz contains standardised dosages of the polyphenols or catechins or EGCG meaning that the product can be used systematically. Green Tea Extract Dr. Wolz uses an extract, the caffeine content of which, is below one percent.
