For the dietary treatment of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea (AAD)

Darmflora AAD

Darmflora AAD is a preparation for the dietary treatment of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea (AAD). The effect of specially selected lactic acid bacterial cultures on diarrhoea and symptoms caused by antibiotics is proved by a study. Darmflora AAD Dr. Wolz includes 4 specialised lactic acid bacteria cultures in the exact dosage of 17 billion per day in one capsule. The Darmflora AAD Dr. Wolz cultures are protected against stomach and bile acid. As a result, they arrive in the intestines unscathed.

Diarrhoea is a typical side-effect of antibiotic treatment that occurs in roughly five to 39 percent of patients. Occurrence depends on the susceptibility and type of antibiotic. Unfortunately it not only kills the (pathogenic) bacteria that make you ill but also attacks the body’s own intestinal flora, whose function is impaired to a greater or lesser extent as a result. As a consequence of the natural intestinal flora’s impairment and its general protective function it may also come to the colonisation and proliferation of undesirable micro-organisms in the intestines, for example Clostridium difficile. After the administration of antibiotics the intestines need up to half a year to regenerate.

Darmflora AAD is a specially developed preparation for the dietary treatment of diarrhoea caused by antibiotics (AAD).

Certain lactic acid bacteria, namely those that are contained in Darmflora AAD, colonise in the intestines and compensate for the imbalance caused by antibiotics by counteracting miscolonisation due to pathogenic bacteria (e.g. Clostridium difficile). The properties and features of these lactic acid bacteria are confirmed in many studies. However, the prerequisite for this is that the lactic acid bacteria survive the stomach passage when administered. The Darmflora AAD Dr. Wolz cultures are protected against stomach and bile acid. As a result, they arrive in the intestines unscathed.
