The most frequent cause of a dampened holiday spirit is traveller's diarrhoea, which is most often attributed to an infection. Even an unusual diet, a time difference, too much sun or stress from travelling make the immune system susceptible.
Especially for elder travellers and children this may approach to drastic dimensions.
The combined preparation has a dual effect from the two different capsules with probiotic cultures:

1.) The lactic acid bacteria rebuild the intestinal flora and stabilises the intestinal mucosa, suppress the colonisation of pathogens and stabilise the intestinal tract's own immune system.
2.) Special medical yeast cells (Saccharomyces cerevisiae Hansen CBS 5926) are counted amongst the probiotics just like lactic acid bacteria.  However, they have a somewhat different range of effectiveness than lactic acid bacteria and enhance their effect.
These special yeast cells prevent the "docking" of harmful germs on the intestinal wall and emit substances in the environment themselves, which prevent unwanted germs from growing and promote the secretion of immunoglobulin A from the intestinal wall, thereby strengthening the specific immune response.
